National standard safety net specifications and dimensions

The product classification is represented by the letters P for the pocket net, L for the upright net, and ML for the dense mesh safety upright net;

The product specifications and dimensions are expressed in width x length, with units in meters;

Flame retardant nets should be labeled with the word "flame retardant" after the classification mark;

The product level is divided into A level and B level;

Example: The width is 3m, the length is 6m, and the material of the nylon mesh is represented as: Nylon P3 × 6; Internal hanging safety net NP-1.5 × 6.

Measurement of specifications and dimensions

Measure the specifications and dimensions of the net, and the width should not be less than 3m. The allowable deviation from its nominal specifications and dimensions is ± 4%. Measure using length measuring equipment with an accuracy of no less than 10 mm. Apply a pre tension of (500 ± 50) N along the measuring direction on the edge rope, and then measure the side length of the mesh. Keep the result to one decimal place.

Product Usage

Safety nets are used in various construction sites, especially high-rise buildings, shipbuilding, ship repair, water loading and unloading, large equipment installation, and other high-altitude work areas, and can be fully enclosed for construction. It can effectively prevent personal and object falling injuries, prevent fires caused by welding sparks, and reduce noise and dust pollution.

Instructions for Use:

The safety net must be fully labeled, with a production license, product qualification certificate, and a permit issued by the local safety supervision department. Unqualified safety nets cannot be used for construction, and old nets must be sampled and tested to meet the requirements before use.  

Strictly follow the requirements of the safety protection plan, and set up a safety net at a distance of 3m from the ground (top of the first floor). The construction layer should be protected with a net, and as the construction layer rises, a net should be set up every 10m below the construction layer.  

When setting up the safety net, each reinforcing rope on the outer side of the net should be firmly tied to the horizontal pole of the outer scaffold, and the reinforcing rope on the inner side of the net should be fixed. When the main masonry adopts frameless construction, pre embedded steel rings should be set according to the spacing of the net reinforcing ropes, and the inner reinforcing ropes should be tied inside the steel rings. When plastering the outer wall, the steel rings should be bent and pressed tightly against the wall surface.  

Timely clean up the debris inside the net.  

The temporary removal of the mesh due to construction needs should be repaired in a timely manner.  

On site safety inspectors should be responsible and conscientious. After the installation of the net, they should inspect the internal and external binding points one by one, and continuously check their maintenance during the construction process. If any problems are found, they should be rectified immediately.
